Our research group works on the genetic identification and molecular investigation of novel and known inborn errors of immunity. We collaborate closely with other research groups in KU Leuven and have an active international collaborative network (e.g. Human Genetics of Infectious Diseases Laboratory in Paris and New York, The Garvan Institute in Sydney, the NIH, …).
The current recruitment is part of our ERC and FWO funded research on the unraveling ofADA2 deficiency and related inborn errors of immunity.
We use next generation sequencing and other advanced techniques, including CRISPR-CAS, proteomics among others to comprehensively unravel a defect.
The research is truly translational, inspired by patients with the aim to better understand and treat their condition.
You will be responsible for mentoring and teaching the PhD students working on this program.
