Institution: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
Purpose: To encourage minority students to become certified public accountants (CPAs).
Eligibility: Applicants must be African-American, Native American, Latino or Asian American students who are majoring in accounting. They must be full-time students who have completed at least 30 credits overall and at least six credits in accounting. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must have plans to become a certified public accountant (CPA). Selection is based on academic merit, leadership, volunteer experience and commitment to becoming a CPA.
