Disney company requires a software engineering in its internship opportunity in content Mgmt in Seattle, the USA for summer 2020.

Job Summary:

On the CMS team, you get to work with all the different segments of the Walt Disney company and bring cutting edge technologies to them at enterprise scale. A mix of senior and junior developers, it strives to stay ahead of the ever-changing landscape of editorial focused content management by developing and enhancing the content management platform and tools.

Eligibility:

In order to be accepted at this internship, You should have:

Java programming experience.
Completed at least one data structures or algorithms course.
Completed at least one course working on user interface tools.
The desire to work on a full-stack team.
Experience in working on teams
Completed or taking a networking course.
Knowledge of REST APIs.
Knowledge of react framework.
Knowledge of database technologies.
You can be a sophomore, junior or senior level undergraduate student or recent graduate (within 6 months of graduation) pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, computer engineering, software development, or related field.

You also must be:

Enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney college program or Disney professional internship.
At least 18 years of age.
Not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Note: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.

Your Responsibilities:

The company is looking for an intern to work on a project focused on its content management platform. The focus of the internship will be on improving features of this system such as UI, APIs, and services while maintaining or increasing overall performance and scalability, so as a member of the team you will be responsible for:

Participating in sprint planning and tracking work items.
Writing code in Java (and possibly other languages).
Working as a member of a larger team.
Self-directing (Some tasks may only have high-level descriptions and it's expected from you to figure out what needs doing).
Asking questions when you cannot find the answers you need
