The Community Youth Initiative invites Saudi activists in youth and volunteering work to participate in the youth development camp. It will be held on March 29, 2020, and will last for three days (33 training hours) in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

The aim of the camp is to enhance the ability of participants to interact in consciously issues that concern young people and their communities. In addition to developing competencies through active interaction within real educational activities and tasks.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicant should be working in an institution interested in youth work.
  • The applicant should be an activist in youth and volunteering work.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree.
  • At least four years of experience in working with young people or community development.
  • The applicant must be between 24 and 40 years old.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to comply with the requirements of the program after it has been completed.
  • Strong English speaking and writing skills because there are activities and programs offered by non-Arabic speakers.

  • Scientific activities.
  • Dialogue sessions.
  • Consultations for those working with young people.
  • Workshops.

Camp Rules:

  • Only accepted applicants can attend the program.
  • The applicant should attend the three training days and reside in the provided residence.
  • If the candidate withdraws at least one week before the camp, he/she must pay 50% of the training cost. If he withdraws two days before the camp, he must pay 80% of the training cost.
  • If the candidate withdraws through the camp or is absent from one of the programs or workshops, the candidate must pay all training costs (100% of costs are payable).
  • Positive and effective participation in the camp and its activities.
  • Participations should be within the framework of positive development.
  • Discussion of any political, religious, or moral issues should be avoided.
  • If there are people accompanying the candidate, they are not included in the programs, workshops, and meetings.

Funding:

The program covers the cost of accommodation for the candidate. It does not include the cost of aviation and escorts.

About:

Community Youth Initiative was launched in March 2017 as one of the community initiatives of Khalid Ali Al Turki & Sons Holding Company. It aims to contribute to raising youth productivity and enhancing their social and economic role, by establishing content, profession, and society for workers with youth in Saudi Arabia and then the Arab and Islamic world. The initiative has carried out many specialized programs and studies to introduce and establish the profession of working with youth in Saudi Arabia.
