The Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) is offering an exceptional job opportunity as a Network and Community Mobilizer Officer to join the team in Amman, Jordan for 2020. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Establish networks for social mobilization, including contribution to the design and implementation of the assessment process and the design of all documents related to project applicants. 
  2. Provide the necessary support to beneficiaries in terms of project development.
  3. Contribute to the timely design and dissemination of program level and project level documents dedicated to network implementation and related to methods and tools for successful national exchange and learning. 
  4. Monitor and review progress of networks in terms of content and methods for national exchange activities.
  5. Contribute to the design of tools and methods to support the delivery of the networks’ work plans, activities and deliverables through regular contact, capacity building sessions and participation in network activities, etc. 
  6. Support the coordination of the organization and delivery of the capacity building actions.
  7. Provide on-going capacity-building, supporting the establishment of new youth groups, accrediting groups with a national quality framework, supporting groups around policy and emerging themes/experiences. 
  8. Contribute to monitoring and progress review of the implementation of capacity-building activities.
  9. Contribute to the production of annual implementation reports. Collect relevant data to be included in the annual implementation report. 
  10. Contribute to the Program Monitoring Committee’s preparation on all issues related to networking and capacity-building projects. 
  11. Support/cooperate with other staff members to feed into the communication activities with updated information on content and achievement from Networks.
  12. On-going support to networks in terms of administrative project management. 
  13. Contribute to the collection and analysis of information provided by on-going networks in the framework of the Closing Procedure. 
  14. Contribute to collecting information on networking activities through ad hoc surveys, evaluation activities, etc. 
  15. Conduct regular field visits to monitor the program. 
  16. Build and maintain positive relationships with all members of staff, and contacts within and outside Authorities. 
  17. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. A degree in education, social sciences or a proven capacity to work within youth programming or in camp settings. 
  2. At least 5 years of experience and training in the area of social mobilization. 
  3. Demonstrated ability to represent the organization at the community level. 
  4. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under pressure. 
  5. Ability to coordinate internally and externally and provide technical oversight. 
  6. Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  7. Native Arabic skills and proficiency in English language skills.
  8. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  9. Planning and delivering results A team player, able to work and coordinate with others. .
  10. Excellent writing and editing skills. 
  11. Computer literacy. 
  12. Excellent organization and interpersonal skills. 
  13. Sense of initiative; ability to anticipate, propose and implement solutions.
  14. Comfortable with the use of social media. 
  15. Knowledge of the NGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector is a plus.
