The NMU International Academic Award is now available to academically talented, undergraduate international students who are enrolled at Northern Michigan University as a full-time associate or baccalaureate degree student. Award recipients are expected to engage in cultural sharing or community service activities.
The scholarship value is $2,200 per year.
Were eligible for renewal at the time they left NMU.
Have not attended another college or university between enrollments at NMU.
Are within the "consecutive semesters" timeline that began with the original awarding date of said scholarship. Semesters away from NMU do not count in the consecutive semesters timeline.

Submit the Undergraduate Application for Admission.
Pay the $35 Application Fee.
Submit Postsecondary Transcripts
Post-Secondary Transcripts from outside the United States. or Canada must be submitted through an external credential evaluator.
Students must ask the evaluator to send an official copy of their University transcript directly to NMU To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from the evaluator (or directly from the issuing institution in a sealed envelope).
Submit Official Secondary School Academic Documents
If fewer than 12 semester credit hours of postsecondary study (approximately one semester) have been completed, submit official secondary school academic documents.
Submit Official English Language Test Scores.
Submit Certification of Finances.
