European Commission calls application for Youth4Regions Program for Aspiring Journalists. Youth4Regions is the European Commission program helping journalism students and young journalists to discover what the EU is doing in their region. This opportunity is for journalists from EU or neighboring country citizenship. Candidates must be of age 18 to 30 years and be able to demonstrate a real interest in journalism through studies and/or work experience. Applications from former participants are not accepted.

The Commission covers travel and accommodation. Most meals are also provided during the program in October. In addition to that, the participants will receive the following benefits

Requirements

Aspiring Journalists must have the following qualifications to be eligible for Youth4Regions Program

These are EU candidate countries (Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey), potential candidates (Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo) and ENI countries (Algeria, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia, as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine).

Application

Candidates must send a short article (400-1000 words) or a short video reportage (2 – 3 minutes) depicting a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (including Interreg) or Cohesion Fund. The theme is up to you to choose.
