The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) ,in cooperation with Zhejiang NHU, is inviting young and experienced chemists for its International Award for Advancement in Green Chemistry. The Award has been established to emphasize the importance of advancements in Green Chemistry and the value of sciences to human progress, and to encourage young and experienced chemists. The award covers all the topics of Green Chemistry, such as Green and Renewable Feedstocks, Green Synthetic Routes, Green Solvents, Green Catalysis, Green products, Green Energy, and as broadly defined by OECD as Sustainable Chemistry.
The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry is an international federation of National Adhering Organizations that represents chemists in individual countries. It is a member of the International Science Council. A neutral and objective scientific organization, IUPAC was established in 1919 by academic and industrial chemists who shared a common goal – to unite a fragmented, global chemistry community for the advancement of the chemical sciences via collaboration and the free exchange of scientific information. Throughout its long history IUPAC has fulfilled that goal through the creation of a common language and the standardization of processes and procedures.
