Apply for the Vacancy for Alternate Media Specialist at Palomar College. The category of the position is Disability and Accessibility Services. The incumbent assesses communication needs and converts oral, written, and visual materials into alternate media formats including Braille, e-Text, audio, large print, and tactile graphic.
He/she determines and assists in installing and troubleshooting other assistive technology solutions to meet the needs and requests of students and faculty. Likewise, maintains and customizes the Disability Resource Center (DRC) database to meet the program and reporting needs of the DRC and the District. Also, provides training to faculty and staff on uses of the DRC database.

To be eligible for this position, you must meet and provide evidence of the following minimum qualifications:
Experience: Three years of experience in making assessments and determining appropriate alternate media and assistive technologies to meet the needs of disabled students.
Also, equivalent to a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in education or a related field.
Palomar College is a public community college in San Diego County, California. Additionally, the main campus is in San Marcos and three centers and four education sites are located elsewhere throughout north San Diego County. Also, the largest of these by student population is the education center located in Escondido.
