IRC offers a job opportunity in Syria to work as a grants manager.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
  2. 3 years of professional experience with at least two years of international work experience in relief or development programs, preferably in a post-conflict setting.
  3. Demonstrable experience in grants management, including report writing and grant monitoring.
  4. Demonstrable understanding of project planning and management cycles.
  5. Knowledge of USG and EU (ECHO/ EC/DFID/SIDA) and other donor regulations, procedures and requirements.
  6. It's preferred to have experience in finance management and reporting.
  7. It's preferred to have experience with M&E database management.
  8. Demonstrable high-level performance management and team working skills, with experience in managing a portfolio of multiple donors.
  9. High-level of knowledge and practice with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  10. Ability to work well under unstable security, administrative, and programmatic pressures.
  11. Professional fluency in spoken and written English; ability to communicate concisely and with impact and fluency in Arabic.
  12. Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
  13. It's preferred to have Syria or regional experience.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of:

  • Manage external reporting for the assigned portfolio to ensure timely delivery of high-quality reports which meet donor and IRC requirements, coordinating inputs from program managers/coordinators.
  • Ensure draft reports are disseminated for review/feedback by SMT, grants and partnerships coordinator, and HQ staff prior to donor submission.
  • Assist capacity building of IRC program and support teams by facilitating training and providing support in reporting, indicator tracking, IRC-specific tools, and other topics as/if needed.
  • Collect and draft success stories and communication material as necessary.
  • Lead grant management meetings to ensure awards on delivered on-track, on-time, and on-budget, including GOMs, monthly GRMs and Budget vs Actual (BVA), GCMs, taking minutes and action points, and following up on progress.
  • Keep the grants and partnerships coordinator informed of any projected inabilities to meet contractual obligations, report submission and spend rates/significant budget variances.
  • Lead post-award program revisions (NCEs and unfunded modifications) in liaison with program and HQ staff.
  • Compile and respond to information requests from IRC’s regional, London and NY offices for assigned portfolio.
  • Ensure quality information management related to grants by overseeing the regular maintenance of online grant files (OTIS and Box), reporting calendars, and updating of internal IRC documentation and grant unit tools.
