Expedia Group is offering a job opportunity as an Analytics Manager to join the team in Sydney, Australia for 2020. You will use analytics, statistics, and data science experience to deliver impactful insights into marketing performance, visitor behaviours, and website and commercial performance to help meet business goals. You will be able to extract insights from large and varied data sources and demonstrate how it can be used to improve business performance.

Responsibilities:

Bring together, explore, and analyse large scale datasets to find meaningful business insights, with an emphasis on customer transaction behaviours, website usage, mobile device usage data, and market trends.
Utilize analytic techniques to determine customer value to ultimately change behaviour and drive customer profitability and retention and use these insights to recommend changes to marketing investments across the brands.
Build predictive models, segmentations and forecasting time series models as part of larger analytic inquiries.
Assist managers and teams in understanding the power and value of an analytical approach to decision-making by provide them with the insights that contribute to the strategic goals of the organisation and influence the decision-making process.
Collaborate with other functions, e.g., Product, Content, Marketing and other Analytics teams to drive impactful business outcomes.
Use statistical analysis and multi-variate modelling techniques to spot patterns in data and predict future behavior.
Engage with partners to assess existing and upcoming business needs and maintain regular communication.

Requirements:

Poses commercial experience in SEO Analysis, Search Engine Marketing, or other analytical online marketing.
Have a fundamental understanding of SEO mechanics and drivers of performance.
Expertise in querying and bringing together large datasets using advanced SQL.
Comprehensive statistical analysis and/or data science experience utilising Python, R.
Experience in designing and developing self-serve and data exploration capability via Business Intelligence tools such as QlikView, Tableau or Looker.
Understanding of distributed file systems, scalable datastores, distributed computing and related technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
Familiarity with A/B incrementality testing principles including power and sample size calculations and tests of significance.
Familiarity with web analytics and analytics/tracking to support digital marketing using Adobe Marketing Cloud [Omniture], Google Analytics, Google Search Console.
Be a teammate who can operate in a sophisticated, matrix organization.
Be a good communicator who has the ability to influence people and outcomes through effective interpersonal skills.
Have a passion for solving problems and finding patterns and insights within structured and unstructured data.
Hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in a Statistics/Math/Computer Science or related field.
