The Media School at Bournemouth University invites students, bloggers, artists and writers to submit their innovative storytelling for its New Media Writing Prize (NMWP).
NMWP is looking for innovative and interactive storytelling (fiction or nonfiction) written specifically for reading and viewing on a PC or Mac, the web, or a hand-held device such as an iPad or mobile phone. Storytelling could entail a short story, novel, documentary or poem using words, images, film or animation with audience interaction.
The winner of the “if:book” will receive £1000. The winner of the “Unicorn Student Award” will win a 3 months paid internship (or £500 in cash) at Unicorn Training, Bournemouth, UK. The “Dot Award” winner will receive £500 to develop a new project. Finally, the Gorkana Journalism Awards winner will receive £500.
Please note: the general deadline is Nov. 24, but the deadline for students is Dec. 15.
Each entry should contain the following information within the text of an email to entries2016@newmediawritingprize.co.uk if you're applying for the if:book or Unicorn Student Award. Entries for the Dot Award should be sent to chris@ifbook.co.uk. Entries for the Gorkana Journalism Awards should be sent to gorkana@newmediawritingprize.co.uk:

[3] Applicant's short autobiography (50-100 words)
[4] Applicants who wish to submit a work for the Student Prize must provide a proof of identity
[5] Each email entry should contain an active URL for the judges to access your work
