Um Al-Qura University invites its current students and alumni to participate in the "Um Al-Qura anthem contest" 2019.

Conditions of the Contest

The text should be written in classical Arabic.
The text should be suitable for singing.
The text should not exceed seven lines.
The text should be new and relevant to the university.
The text should express the vision and mission of the UQU.
The writer of the text should be one of the UQU’s current or previous students or affiliates

Prize

The university offers 10,000 SR to the winning anthem.

About Umm Al-Qura University

The University offers various types of specializations, granting bachelor's degrees, higher diploma, master's and doctorate degrees in Shari'a, Arabic Language, Education, Social and Applied Sciences, Medicine and Engineering. The university has about 30,000 students at the university's headquarters in Makkah. The colleges' specialization in this university is on the increase, thus contributing to meeting the needs of the community and the requirements of the development plans of qualified students in various fields. The university was set up to build the university's new campus, where the Abadi area, southeast of Mecca, overlooking Arafat, tested a new university site. The foundation stone of this giant project was laid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, in 1406 AH, and the second phase is expected to be completed soon.
