Erasmus Intern offers an internship with Divento.com for data scientists. This website is a fast-growing internet startup based in London with a presence in many European cities, such as Dublin. Its algorithm generates the most efficient itinerary for travelers visiting a city depending on their preferences, opening and closing hours and dates and geographical location. It also offers a low-cost multi-lingual booking solution for smaller venues and tourist attractions.

This is a Digital Opportunity Traineeship– an EU-funded training initiative – aims to help companies fill vacancies with digitally competent candidates. Digital skills are not only required in the ICT sector but increasingly across all sectors. Knowledge of cybersecurity, data analytics, and machine learning, for example, are needed in fields as diverse as banking and manufacturing, farming and health.

Duration of the internship is from 2 to 6 months, starting any time from August 2019 onwards in full-time.

Eligibility

Be eligible for the Erasmus Plus program, with a bachelor degree from an associated country, in Business Studies, Management Science, Communication and Information Sciences, Engineering, or Technology. In the case of Arab countries, only Tunisians are eligible.
Excellent level of English equals Independent User B1, that corresponds to independent users of the language, i.e. those who have the necessary fluency to communicate without effort with native speakers.
No prior experience required.

Tasks of the intern

Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis.
Collaborate with product management and engineering departments to understand company needs and devise possible solutions.
Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends
Communicate results and ideas to key decision-makers.
Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis.
Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design.
