Thomson Reuters Foundation calls application for Reporting on the European Forum Alpbach Program. The European Forum Alpbach is an interdisciplinary platform for science, politics, business, and culture.

The Workshop

Fundamentals are omnipresent topics in todays world especially to you as journalists. The focus of this online workshop, taking place from 28.08. 01.09.2020 in will be on democracy, politics, and law. Before and after your training, you will have access to our entire online conference, and the chance to experience a mix of innovators, policymakers, and drivers of change with differing perspectives who will help you dig deeper.

Role

Candidates will gain insights into diverse issues that are tackled during the Forum, such as the fundamentals of democracy, European unity, solidarity, and dialogue. These fundamentals have guided the activities of the European Forum Alpbach for the past 75 years. The workshop is an opportunity for you to join and inform the debate on the way forward and to encourage your readers, listeners, and viewers to join that debate and make their voices heard. In a world driven by vested interests, this workshop offers you a chance to discover WHO might be doing WHAT to WHOM, WHY and HOW, and WHO are, or should be, the gatekeepers.

Funding

Thomson Reuters Foundation Reporting on the European Forum Alpbach Program will cover participation for 15 journalists for the whole duration of the European Forum Alpbach online conference (23.08.-03.09.2020).
