Research Grants Council (RGC) presents the PhD Fellowship Scheme for international students in Hong Kong. The fellowship aims to attract the best and brightest students in the world to pursue their PhD studies. Applicants should demonstrate outstanding qualities of academic performance, research ability and potential, communication and interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities. The applicant must apply to one of the following universities:
[1] The City University of Hong Kong
[2] Hong Kong Baptist University
[3] Lingnan University
[4] The Chinese University of Hong Kong
[5] The Education University of Hong Kong
[6] The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
[7] The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
[8] The University of Hong Kong.
Chosen applicants will receive an annual stipend of approximately 30,000 USD as well as a conference and research-related travel allowance of approximately 1,300 USD for a period of up to three years.
To apply, fill out the application form here. Then, applicants should submit full applications for their selected PhD program to the proposed universities, quoting their HKPFS Reference Number before the universities' respective deadlines.
