The position comprises empirical research in the area of software engineering, i.e. the inception, planning, development, verification and validation, release, and evolution of software-intensive products and services (SIPS). The scope is delimited to security-related aspects of SIPS and how security can be built in. Special focus will be on how this impacts ways-of-working, methods, principles and practices of organizations developing SIPS. Experience in quantitative approaches (data science, machine learning, natural language processing) is of special merit.
Our tradition of close cooperation with industry means that we particularly value an interest in and experience from empirical research in collaboration with industry. For this position, we are looking for a candidate with a background in empirical software engineering and/or professional software development complemented with experience from one or more of the following areas:
Rules and benefits for doctoral students in Sweden apply to this position. The doctoral student will have an individual study plan in software engineering. The position may include up to 20% of other services, e.g., teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level.
