A Chance to Win a University Scholarship at the Mobile International Film Festival 2019

The Film Free Way announced the 10th edition of the International Mobile Film Festival, this festival will take place on 6th December 2019 in Skopje، Macedonia. As a well-established reality on the national and international festival scene, the Mobile Festival mission is to support independent cinema. The festival is free to attend, all film screenings and workshops are free to attend, offline and online on Cinesquare.net. The International Competition consists of mobile short films that have been made only with smartphones (finished).


The festival main award is awarded as a scholarship for new students at the University for Audiovisual Arts - Parisian European Film Academy ESRA based in Skopje.

Prize Categories:

The films are eligible for the:

  • Award for Best Film “Ratka Ilievska- Lale”
  • Award for Most Inventive Film
  • Award for Most Original Story
  • Award for Best Idea
  • Award for Best Film in the national program Young Talents.

Award Categories:

Short films made with a mobile phone should be in these categories:

  • Animation
  • Fiction
  • Music video
  • Reality
  • Collection of electronic news
  • Photographic

All genres from all over the world, no longer than 10 minutes that are entirely shot with mobile phones.

Participation Guidelines: 

  • This festival is open for all filmmakers from the world.
  • The festival is looking for films that are made with a mobile phone and that haven`t been previously submitted to the Mobile Festival.
  • The festival only accepts digital submissions. They accept no hard copy submissions. Submissions will be open via Filmfreeway.com. Applicant should upload his film using his submission platform’s secure screeners, or email the festival a link to his film along with his tracking number.
  • All films need to be 10 minutes or less. The festival prefers most films to sit on the shorter end of that spectrum.
  • No premiere status is required, however, the festival gives preference to films that haven’t yet premiered online.
  • The submitted film shall not imitate or plagiarize any copyrighted work. The festival requires films to have all the necessary rights and releases secured for it to feature them.
  • The festival only select films that are free for audiences.
  • All genres are allowed.
