Ku Leuven University in Belgium offers VLIR-ICP Master's Scholarships in 2020.

Eligibility:

  1. The applicant must be a national and resident of predetermined scholarship countries, (not necessarily the same country) at the time of application. As for Arab countries, only Morocco and Palestine are eligible.
  2. The applicant must be eligible for admittance to the selected Master program at KU Leuven, that is one of the following five programs:
    • Master of Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies, and requirements here.
    • Master of Human Settlements, and prerequisites here.
    • Master of Food Technology, and prerequisites here.
    • ICP Master in Sustainable Development, and prerequisites here.
    • Master of Water Resources Engineering, and prerequisites here.
  3. The maximum age for a Master's program candidate is 35 years for an initial master and 40 years for an advanced master. The candidate cannot succeed this age on January 1 of the intake year.
  4. Application for admission in one of the VLIR ICP program leads automatically to a VLIR UOS scholarship application. No further action is needed if the applicant meets all the prerequisites.

Award:

Fully-Funded positions for the total duration of the Master program.

Required Documents:

  1. Letter of Motivation that varies from one program to the other, specifications for each program is here.
  2. Return to Job document Certificate from the employer stating the applicant's current employment, and his/her perspectives upon completion of studies. If the applicant currently does not have a job, a no-current-job document could be uploaded.
  3. Diplomas and transcripts of academic records, or translation of these certificates, if they aren't in English, Dutch, French or German.
  4. Intermediate official transcripts, in the case of a student, are yet to graduate at the time of application.
  5. CV, useful format to prepare it provided here.
  6. English Proficiency Certificate, IELTS, TOEFL or ESOL Cambridge. 
  7. Passport's identity page.
  8. A short personal statement that the applicant doesn't have to pay the application fee.
  9. Two Letters of Recommendation,  includes the referee contact details, using these templates.
  10. Relevant information concerning job experience/studies/professional internships (abroad) if applicable.
  11. Digital portfolio only for students who apply for MA of Human Settlements: that come from architectural education.
