Description

At NN we want to take social responsibility by giving young people who are in need of support access to our means and expertise to help them create economic opportunities, overcome adversity and realise their dreams. The NN Future Matters Scholarship is financed by NN and administered by EP-Nuffic. This scholarship is meant for students from selected countries who want to do their master’s in the Netherlands.

Eligibility

  • Applicants are from Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain or Turkey;
  • Applicants are applying for a full-time master’s programme in the field of finance, risk management or economics at one of the participating Dutch research universities;
  • Have a minimum average score of 7 (out of 10) on BA level;
  • Starting your master’s studies in September 2017;
  • Applicants meet the specific requirements of the institution of your choice;
  • Applicants are a first generation academic in your family, i.e. no parent or guardian has earned a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in your family;
  • Preferably you have not yet studied or worked abroad before;

Scholarship

 The scholarship amounts to 5,000 EUR. You will receive 4,500 EUR in two instalments of 2,250 EUR each in the first year of your master’s studies and 500 EUR at the end of your studies plus tuition waiver  

How to Apply

The following attachments are required in addition to the Application form, in this order:

  • A motivation letter: minimum 1 A4 / max 3 A4;
  • Your curriculum vitae (CV) with a photo. Your CV must include information on
    1. jobs (was it a full-time or a part-time job and in what period);
    2. periods spent abroad, if applicable (what country/countries and purpose/reason);
    3. extracurricular activities, study-related and not study-related.
  • Two reference letters: the person referring you must be present in your current academic life. The reference letter must be on the letterhead of the organisation of the person referring you and must include his or her name, address and position, a signature and a stamp;
  • An overview of diploma and study results of previous higher education;
  • A copy of the admission letter to a master’s programme at Dutch university;
  • A copy of your passport/identity document.
