Netflix Finance team has a job opportunity for a Finance Business Partner in the Netherlands to support its Business Development team in EMEA in scaling its partnerships in-region.  This is a highly cross-functional role that will partner not only with Business Development, but also with legal, FP&A, Treasury, Partner Payments, and Tax teams in EMEA and the US.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. 4 to 6  years of Experience in Accounting/Finance.
  2. Experience in tech or entertainment industry a plus.
  3. Experience with Workday Financials or other cloud-based ERP systems a plus.
  4. Understanding of US GAAP / IFRS.
  5. Advanced Excel experience with the ability to navigate large data sets.
  6. Proven project management experience and demonstrated the ability to drive process improvements.
  7. Fluency in English, a second EMEA language considered a plus.
  8. Travel may be required.
  9. Self-motivated and dedicated; able to work and problem-solve independently.
  10. A great communicator who can cultivate strong cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  11. Proactive and contributive; takes initiative and follows-through reliably.
  12. Accustomed to multitasking, prioritizing and meeting multiple tight deadlines.
  13. Intellectually curious and passionate.
  14. Organized, detail-oriented, and a speedy learner.
  15. Team-player.
  16. Flexible to collaborate with our US and International offices across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of financial operations associated with partner agreements including, but not limited to: payment flow explanation, invoicing, timely payment collection, reconciliation of data and dealing with any billing and payment issues in the region.
  2. Perform detailed reviews of partnership deals and collaborate with the corporate accounting team to ensure proper treatment under both US GAAP and local GAAP (IFRS).
  3. Perform accounting-related functions surrounding payments, adjustments, and review.
  4. Work closely with Business Development, Legal, Finance, Tax, Treasury and Partner Payments teams across EMEA to understand partnership strategies and deal structures.
  5. Consult with and advise Business Development and Legal partners on negotiation strategy for finance-related terms in partnership deals.
  6. Drive operational process improvements.
