The International Max Planck Research School for Cell, Developmental and Systems Biology in Germany is offering university students from all over the world the opportunity to apply for research internships for 2020 for a period of 2-3 months. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. The Student Research Internships are open to non-local, matriculated university students studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the fields of Life Science, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics or Engineering.
  2. To be considered, students should have an excellent academic performance record. 
  3. Bachelor students must have completed at least 4 semesters of their studies before starting the internship. 
  4. Students must be officially enrolled at a home university during the internship period. 
  5. High proficiency in English is mandatory. 

Admission Process:

Compliance with applicable eligibility requirements is first determined by the IMPRS Program Coordinator. Subsequently, applications are reviewed by any group leaders currently offering internship placements. The school will conduct Skype interviews and may contact your referee before making a decision. Formal offers to participate in our IMPRS Student Research Internship program are made by the IMPRS Program Coordinator.

Funding:

A student research internship lasts 2-3 months and concludes with a written report and an oral presentation. The precise dates will be agreed individually with the hosting group. Successful candidates will receive a monthly allowance of 800 Euro to support travel, housing, and living costs. Guidance in arranging travel, housing, and Visa will be provided if required.
