Seoul Guro International Kids Film Festival(GUKIFF) is offering a competition in Film Making to present the most outstanding films for children, youth, and families produced in all over the world. Established in 2013, GUKIFF is striving to encourage young generations who will lead the film industry and support them to get various opportunities. GUKIFF wants to introduce various genres of domestic and foreign films dealing with children, family themes.

Awards:

worth of about KRW 30 million (25,114.878 $) won in total.
The cash award must be paid to the director of the film.
The cash award includes tax and bank charges.

Eligibility Criteria:

Films completed after 1st January 2018.
Films never been submitted to GUKIFF before.
GUKIFF accepts films that deal with 'children' themes regardless of genre.
But there should be no problem screening film to young audiences.
Feature' (equal to or longer than 40 min) / 'Short' (less than 40 min)
There is no limit on the duration of time of the film.
There are no entry fees.
Films in the competition will compete to win prizes in two sections(short/feature film),

Selection Status:

Competition Section:

The festival's Selection Committee will select the films for competition and the entrant will be notified of the selection results individually.
Selected films cannot be withdrawn from the program after being confirmed to screen at GUKIFF.
The final winners of the competition will be selected by GUKIFF Juries during the festival and will be announced at the festival's award ceremony.

Non-Competition Section:

Submitted films also can be screened in the non-competition section.
In this case, GUKIFF has responsible for notifying the fact to the entrant and get permission in advance.

Subtitles:

If not with dialogues in Korean or English, films must be subtitled in English.
Additionally, all entrants must provide the festival with a script(including exact time code for each dialogue) either in English or Korean.
GUKIFF reserves the right to reject entries that do not have English subtitles.
