The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees 'UNRWA' is offering a job opportunity for highly committed senior female professionals to join the organization Senior Female Talent Pool. UNRWA is the largest United Nations operation in the Middle East with over 30,000 staff working across five areas of operation and is committed to achieving and sustaining gender parity at all levels of staffing.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) from an accredited educational institution in political science, social sciences, international relations or related fields; a first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
  2. Work experience: Eight years of relevant professional experience, including several years of international experience in emergency settings.
  3. Language(s): Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Conditions of Service:

  1. UNRWA offers an attractive compensation package including annual salary starting at $71,332 net tax-free with post adjustment of (Jordan 44%, West Bank and Gaza 55.2%, Lebanon 49.1% and Syria 35.2%, all are subject to change without notice).
  2. UNRWA staff is expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, neutrality, and impartiality at all times. This includes respect for and commitment to human rights, diversity, and non-violent means of dealing with all kinds of conflict.
  3. UNRWA is a non-smoking work environment.
  4. The Agency reserves the right not to make an appointment, to make an appointment at a lower grade, or to make an appointment with a modified job description.
  5. On appointment, all individuals will be asked to sign a self-attestation, confirming that they have not committed, been convicted of, or prosecuted for, any criminal offense and that they have not been involved, by act or omission, in the commission of any violation of international human rights law or international humanitarian law.

  2. Family visit travel.

  4. Non-family service allowance.
  5. Rest and recuperation leave every 4 weeks (subject to change without notice).
