United Nation is offering an Internship Opportunity in Graphic Design. Tha applicant should have Teamwork: Good interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from different national and cultural backgrounds to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assistance in drafting and producing graphic material designing and communication content.
  2. Creating design products, such as infographics, and other visuals for campaigns, publications, conferences, events and meetings, in accordance with UN design standards and policies
  3. Assistance in editing and creating design layouts for briefs, film videos, mix sound and audio-visuals
  4. Working on web-presentation
  5. Compiling statistics
  6. Attend Human Resources Management meetings and other events

  1. Actively seeks to improve programmes or services and is not bound by current thinking or traditional approaches.
  2. Teamwork: Good interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from different national and cultural backgrounds to achieve organizational goals.
  3. Good communication skills.
  4. Planning and Organizing: Develops clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies
  5. Identifies priority activities and assignments; adjusts priorities as required
  6. Monitors and adjusts plans and actions as necessary; uses time efficiently.
  7. Technological Awareness: Keeps abreast of available technology
  8. Understands applicability and limitations of technology to the work of the office; 
  9. Actively seeks to apply technology to appropriate tasks; 
  10. Shows willingness to learn new technology.
  11. Be computer literate in standard word and software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  12. Be proficient in standard office automation equipment scanner, printer, etc.).

Education:

  1. Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
  2. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (Bachelor’s level or equivalent)
  3. Have graduated with a university degree , if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation. 
  4. Degree or study in the field of design/graphic design or relevant fields is preferable.

Period:

  • Interns work five days per week (37.5 hours)
  • This internship is for four months, with an opportunity for extension up to six months.

Languages:

  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
  • Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish
