Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications in China offers Bachelor's, Master and Ph.D. Scholarships to outstanding students around the world.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China.
  • The applicant has to be in good health.
  • be a high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for the undergraduate programs.
  • be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for the master programs.
  • be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for the doctoral programs.
  • The applicant should not be holding any other scholarship provided by the Chinese government.

Scholarship Value:

  • Doctoral students: 35,000RMB/year
  • Master students: 30,000RMB/year
  • Bachelor Students: 25,000RMB/year

Note: The Scholars must pay the corresponding tuition fee, and accommodation fee before enjoying this scholarship.

Scholarship Duration:

This scholarship only supports graduate students for no more than 3 academic years or undergraduate students for no more than 4 academic years. It only covers the major studies, does not include the Chinese Language/preparatory study.

Required Documents:

  • 2 Passport size Photos.
  • Application Form for Chongqing Municipal Government Scholarship written in Chinese or English (download it from here).
  • Application Form for Study in CQUPT “Here
  • The Notarized highest diploma or an official document issued by your current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date.
  • Academic transcripts (written in Chinese or English).

Note: Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

  • A Study Plan or Research Proposal (written in Chinese or English).
  • Two Recommendation Letters signed by a professor or an associate professor written in Chinese or English (only the graduate applicants are needed).
  • Copy of valid Passport Home Page.
  • The record of studies or worked in China if you ever worked or studied in China.
  • Non-criminal record.
  • The physical examination form (download it from here). It must be signed by the attending physician or sealed by the hospital.
  • Papers or Articles Published or to be Published and the copy of valid Language Certificate (if available).

Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications is a public university in China's fourth municipality: Chongqing. It focuses on the research and education in the field of information and communications and enjoys a nationwide reputation in the study of posts, telecommunications and information technology, especially for its research and commercialization in 3G mobile technologies, optical sciences and related digital research. It is one of the four universities of Posts and Telecommunications in China and the only one of its kind in Southwest China.
