BI Norwegian Business School, in collaboration with the A. Wilhelmsen Foundation, offers a Scholarship to international students in their pursuit of a Master of Science degree.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. To be eligible for this scholarship, the candidate must apply for admission to, and be accepted in, a Master of Science program at BI Norwegian Business School.
  2. Applicants who are residents of countries outside Norway are eligible to apply. Wilhelmsen's many areas of activity include the Baltic region, Russia, Portugal, and the Caribbean. Candidates from these regions are especially encouraged to apply.
  3. A successfully completed Bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS credits) in the field of business administration, finance or economics or a successfully completed Bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS) in a field of study relevant to the specialization (80 ECTS).
  4. The minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) requirement is 3.50 (B) on an ECTS scale
  5. A minimum grade of C in courses relevant to the MSc degree program
  6. Applicants with an undergraduate degree from a higher education institution outside Norway/Nordics must also include GMAT: 600 or GRE: 152 Verbal/158 Quantitative
  7. Applicants whose first language is not English, and are from outside Norway/Nordics, must demonstrate competency with TOEFL: 90 or IELTS Academic: 6.5

Conditions for Renewal for Second Year:

  1. Full study progression (30 ECTS) in each semester.
  2. Minimum cumulative GPA of a "B" on the ECTS scale after completion of each academic semester.
  3. Candidates who are awarded the scholarship must be prepared to be "BI Ambassadors", acting as spokespeople, assisting in recruitment efforts and promoting a good study environment. The details regarding responsibilities will be specified in the Scholarship Contract.

Scholarship Award:

The value of this scholarship is and the size of the scholarship is NOK 150.000 annually (75.000 per semester). The scholarship will be administered by BI who is also responsible for the academic follow-up of the recipients. Study progression by the recipients will be followed, and scholarship payments to the student for each semester of the master's degree are dependent on satisfactory study progression, as outlined in the Scholarship Contract.
