International Children and Youth Animation Film Festival are inviting children and youth who want to participate in their animated films in the festival Competition. VAFI & RAFI International Children and Youth Animation Film Festival is an independent film festival that promotes the cultural creativity of children and youth.

General Terms:

VAFI & RAFI has no entry fee.
In order for your submission to be valid, they must be completed Entry via vafirafi.com on the entry form link or on platform FilmFreeway no later than 26th January 2020.
Films have to be sent to Festival online or by post no later than 26th January 2020.
Submission to the Festival means approval of all Festival Regulations without acceptance or further notices and it is valid without signature or seal.
I f you choose to send the films by post, films that don't arrive on Festival address until 10th February 2020, no matter of the actual shipping date, won't be taken into the consideration for VAFI & RAFI festival.
DVDs on which the film is saved won’t be returned to the sender.
DVDs and online copies of films will be kept as a part of the Festival archive.
The sender will take all the costs and the risks of shipping.
Only animation films will be accepted

Competition Categories:

VAFI has three competitive categories divided by the age of the author(s):

VAFI MINI (authors - children under 10 years).
VAFI MIDI (authors - children from 11 to 14 years).
VAFI MAXI (authors - youth from 15 to 18 years).

RAFI has four competitive categories divided by the age of the recipient:

RAFI 0-6 (animated films for children up to 6 years).
RAFI 7-10 (animated films for children from 7 to 10 years).
RAFI 11-14 (animated films for children from 11 to 14 years).
RAFI 15-18 (animated films for youth from 15 to 18 years).

Technical Details:

Films must be in DVD – PAL format, all regions, MPEG 2, MPEG 4 or AVI – via post or online.
The number of submitted films is not limited.
The duration of films is limited for RAFI is on 20 minutes and there is no time limit for VAFI (recommendation is to 10 minutes).
Separate and completely filled out Entry is required for each film.
If there is a speech used in the film in a language other than English, subtitles in English must be made as part of the film.

Prizes:

The Jury will award five films per VAFI category –one first prize and four equal second prizes.
The first prize is the Statue and the Diploma and the second prize is a Diploma.
The official Festival Jury for RAFI has twelve members – tree per category.
RAFI Jury members are children and youth, appointed by the organizers every member in their category.
RAFI Jury will award one film per category.
The RAFI prize is the Statue and Diploma.
Members of the RAFI Jury can choose special mention per category.
