Booking.com is offering a job opportunity as a Junior Operational Excellence Project Manager in the Netherlands, a position will be responsible for driving process improvements in our Partner Services organization, one of Booking.com’s largest departments. Partner Services is responsible for the relationships with its +2.000.000 partners and covers 198 offices worldwide.

Selected candidates will establish new and innovative ways of working through small and large changes on both the process and technical side. he/she is expected to work intensively with the global Operational Excellence, Commercial Excellence, and regional Partner Services teams. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Demonstrated track record (2+ years) of defining and executing process improvement initiatives leading them from start to finish.
  2. You are an expert in Lean Six Sigma (at least green belt trained).
  3. You have a strong focus on business impact and actionable recommendations.
  4. Very high problem solving and structuring skills, with the ability to simplify complex areas.
  5. Proactive and positive attitude.
  6. Good communicator (on several levels) and ability to work with, influence and align with multiple stakeholders.
  7. Flexible and capable to find the right balance between structured problem analysis and project management and agility to deal with B.com's fast-pacing change environment.

 Responsibilities:

  1. Lead process improvement initiatives that deliver concrete results like higher partner satisfaction, more efficiency and lower commercial costs.
  2. Analyze process performance and research the need within Operations, to identify improvement areas.
  3. Select improvement areas where the biggest impact can be made.
  4. Initiate and drive process & technical changes in a diverse stakeholder field with Operations, Product, and Analytics.
  5. Drive process improvement utilizing a pragmatic approach that combines tools like lean six sigma, design thinking, etc.
  6. Assure and safeguard the improvement in the long-term by installing the appropriate control measures.
  7. Professionalize the team by contributing to the development of a standard way of working in process management and process improvement.
  8. Serve as liaison between various support functions and operational leaders, translate requirements, process recommendations and strategies.
  9. Work independently with the local offices & host process innovation workshops.
