The United Nations is offering a unique volunteering opportunity to produce a concept note for the development of digital maps for peacekeepers for 2020. The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is a training arm of the UN system with a mandate related to building capacities for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through outcome-based training and learning initiatives. The Division for Peace strives to support the (re-)establishment of peaceful, just and inclusive societies by enabling individuals, institutions and organizations to contribute meaningfully to sustainable peace. UNITAR delivers pre-deployment training to thousands of peacekeepers in a variety of African countries and it continuously expands the areas in which it trains.
