Austrian development cooperation offers a scholarship for Bachelor Palestinian students in Tourism and Hospitality Management in 2020.

Eligibility:

To be accepted for this scholarship, You should:

  • Have a GCE A‘ levels or equivalent, which enables enrollment at a University.
  • Have practical experience in tourism (hotels, travel agencies, tourism management) or any similar practical experience for a minimum 1 year or graduates of a tourism and hospitality institute.
  • Have proof of an excellent command of English. An internationally recognized certificate proving the knowledge of English (TOEFL, IELTS) is required for applicants from non-English speaking countries as all courses are conducted in the English language.
  • If the student’s English language is not sufficient the Institute may decide whether he/she has to take an extra English language course in Austria at his/her own expenses.
  • A general module including hospitality management module or tourism management module as well as Teacher Training Module (TT).

Funding:

The scholarship includes:
  1. Tuition fee.
  2. Accommodation.
  3. Flight tickets (from home country to Salzburg and back).
  4. Health insurance.
  5. Food from Monday – Sunday.
  6. Excursions except for field trips to ITB Berlin.
  7. Pocket money with a value of €205 per month.
It doesn't include:
  1. Transfer from the airport to the hostel and back to the airport when leaving.
  2. The visa fee has to be paid by the applicants. The fee for the 8-month residence permit is €160. The fees for the entry visa (Visa D) are different, please contact your embassy for detailed information.
