Ernst & Young offers an internship opportunity as a recruitment assistant in the MENA region for Emiratis in Dubai, UAE for a period of 3 to 6 months.

The intern will work closely with recruitment companies and be responsible for supporting recruitment and quality assurance activities in selection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidate management including screening CVs, initiating candidate online assessments, scheduling interviews and, recording all activities in the applicant tracking system (Taleo).
  • Support the firm’s strategy of direct hiring through the use of online sites and sourcing through job portals.
  • Support vacancies through other appropriate channels e.g. social networking sites/events.
  • Support referrals and internal mobility.
  • Assist in preparing offer letters.
  • Assist in preparing recruitment reports.
  • Develop strong relationships with the MENA recruitment team.
  • Ensure consistent quality of output in all deliverables.
  • Problem solves within the team during challenging situations.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent English communication skills - written and spoken.
  • Should be proficient in MS office suite (MS Excel) with strong analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Client serving mindset.
  • Hardworking, able to stay focused when doing repetitive work and remain calm during challenging assignments.
  • Knowledge of recruitment cycle/best practices.
  • Highly motivated individuals with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team player that collaborates with people from various teams.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Completed a bachelor's degree in any subject.
  • Excellent English speaking and writing communication.
  • Experience using MS office suite.
  • Must be UAE National.

Ideally, the applicant will also have:

  • Ability to work in a pace fast environment where at times there are tight deadlines to meet.
  • Ability to work independently but able to readily identify when to share information with the immediate team or when to escalate significant issues.
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes and best practice.
  • Experience with in-house, consulting or shared services.
  • Experience using Taleo or similar ATS.
