Hertie School is offering a scholarship in Germany for applicants with a demonstrated academic or professional interest in issues related to sustainability and energy policy. The Sustainability and Energy Policy Scholarship is for students interested in global sustainability, renewable energy and the transformation of energy systems. Applicants must possess the desire to deepen their knowledge in this field by examining governance structures, policies, markets, technology, and new ideas in order to achieve the material and social conditions of long-term and universal human well-being.

About the Scholarship:

  • Available for the Master of Public Policy or Master of International Affairs.
  • The Master of Public Policy (MPP) provides the tools tomorrow’s decision-makers need to analyze policies, critically assess policy innovations and evaluate solutions. It is a hands-on program, giving students not only knowledge but an experience they can use to promote good policies in all sectors. The interdisciplinary program is ideal for individuals who want to understand and get involved in public affairs, learn analytical and managerial skills and help shape tomorrow’s world.
  • The Master of International Affairs (MIA) equips students with tools of international policymaking to tackle global challenges and devise sound policy proposals in a global multilevel system. Understanding how to navigate this complex landscape of diverse actors and disciplines is at the core of the program. The MIA program prepares students for positions requiring a profound understanding of today’s global policy challenges in government, international organizations, business, and civil society.
  • The scholarship is open to applicants of all nationalities
  • Up to two full scholarships are available, each worth 32,500 EUR which cover the tuition of both the Master of Public Policy and Master of International Affairs.
  • The scholarships are available for applicants with a demonstrated academic or professional interest in issues related to sustainability and energy policy.
