In the framework of the Shiraka program, Souq Fann and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Amman will conduct a cycle of mentorship sessions for designers/artisans established in Amman and Maan governorates. The mentorship sessions aim to support them with improving their products and creating a collection of prototyped products. The outcomes of the mentorship sessions (reflection, prototypes…) will be displayed during an exhibition taking place in September/October 2020. Based on this, Souq Fann offers a job opportunity as Design Mentors for the workshop who have previous experience in teaching.
The mentorship sessions will take place in two different governorates: Amman and Maan. Each mentor has to complete a cycle of 10 sessions of 3 hours each week. The participants will be assigned to the mentors according to their profiles and if possible, geographical areas. Moreover, each mentor will give sessions to a group of 2-3 participants. It should be noted that some of the mentors located in Amman might be sent to Maan governorate on a weekly basis. The mentors will have to take part in a training session, they will be informed about the date/time of the training session during the selection process.
