UN Volunteers is offering a volunteering opportunity for Bachelor's degree Holders as Programme Assistant. The successful applicant will provide effective and efficient support for the implementation of programme activities and tasks. He must preserve full confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the assignment. 

Eligibility criteria:

  • Minimum age: 22 years old.
  • Applicants must be nationals of or legal residents in the country of assignment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support Administrative Issues for smooth Project Implementation focusing on achievement of the following results
  2. Support the National Project Manager on any tasks linked with the Project Implementation.
  3. Organize meetings, workshops, seminars and trainings as well as any other events requested by the Project Manager
  4. securing the venue, arranging tickets as well as write event reports
  5. Facilitate accommodations, DSA and any other necessary support for the participants and team members;
  6. Support the Programme in preparing mission planning, following up approval process for both UNDP and the authorities concerned;
  7. Manage administrative issues such as office administration, travel, communication, entitlement and any other matters as and when required
  8. Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  1. Required degree level: Bachelor degree or equivalent
  2. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Administration, Accounting, Humanities, Media or related field is required
  3. Required experience: 24 Months
  4. Experience remark: At least 2 years of professional work experience in managing projects and administrative assistance
  5. Language skills: English (Mandatory), Level - Fluent    -  Arabic (Mandatory), Level - Fluent
  6. Area of expertise: Development programme/project administration

Required Skills:

  1. At least 2 years of professional work experience in managing projects and administrative assistance;
  2. Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills;
  3. Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing;
  4. Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment
  5. ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
  6. Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet;
  7. Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
  8. Accountability, Building Trust, Commitment and Motivation, Communication
  9. Empowering Others, Ethics and Values, Knowledge Sharing
  10. Planning and Organizing
