IAESTE provides students the chance to give back to the world by being part of its volunteering team, dedicated to helping others. Volunteering with IAESTE can be a rewarding experience. Applicants will develop new organizational, managerial, financial, and social skills; most importantly, they will make new national and international friends and be a part of something special. Applicants will work with IAESTE national committees that are run by students, as well as the hundreds of local committees that support their work.

IAESTE JUST (Jordan University of Science and Technology) local chapter started in October 2018 guided by Assistant Dean Dr. Ruba Khnouf. The chapter also includes volunteers from different engineering departments. The program also provides paid training offers for students of engineering majors to complete their required practical training abroad.

Main Duties:

The main duties of the volunteers:

Get internship opportunities for exchange students coming from other countries.
Help students in the applying process to train abroad.
Facilitate life needs for exchange students.

IAESTE Aims:

To provide students with technical experience relevant to their studies.
To be a source of cultural enrichment for trainees and their host communities.
To offer employers well-qualified and motivated trainees.

IAESTE Missions:

To promote international understanding, cooperation and trust among students, academic institutions, employers and the wider community.
To operate a high-quality practical training exchange program between members in order to enhance technical and professional development.

About IAESTE:

The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience, known as IAESTE. IAESTE offers opportunities for science and engineering undergraduates and graduates to gain valuable work experience in an international environment and helps students to implement the concepts that they have learned at University. An IAESTE traineeship not only enhances the participant's CV but also promotes life-changing experiences, fully immersed in a country and culture different to his own. IAESTE work experience is real work experience, working on live projects and developing participant's skills, as well as being paid to do so.
