The French Embassy in Jordan offers scholarships for students who wish to do a Master’s degree in France. 

Available Programs:

All disciplines are concerned with a preference for the following fields: 

  • Business and administration.
  • Tourism and hospitality.
  • Sciences: climate change-related disciplines, agriculture, Big Data, biology, chemistry, environmental law and policy, water and waste management, energy, health, earth sciences, etc. 
  • Engineering.
  • IT (priority to coding and data sciences).
  • Languages.
  • Social and human sciences.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Jordanian citizens.
  • No more than 30 years old.
  • Holder of a bachelor's degree with minimum academic level “good”.
  • Language proficiency:
  1. Candidates who apply for a French program: minimum DELF B2
  2. Candidates who apply for an English program: IELTS, TOEFL or TOEIC (depending on Master requirements)

Scholarship Coverage:

  • A monthly allowance for 10 months from 1st September 2020.
  • Social security coverage for the duration of the scholarship.
  • One round-trip ticket, between France and Jordan, economy class, with transfer to the city of studies.
  • Priority access for accommodation in the university student residence.
  • Tuition fees in public universities recognized by the French Ministry of Higher education.

Selection Process:

STEP 1: Pre-selection of the application files will be done by the Scholarship Commission of the Cultural Section of the French Embassy in Jordan on the base of:

  • Academic excellence and motivation of the candidate.
  • Project relevance and consistency 

STEP 2: The pre-selected candidates will be interviewed by the jury of the Scholarship Commission, and the following aspects will be assessed by the jury during the interview:

  • Presentation and relevance of the study project.
  • Knowledge of the subject.
  • A professional project of the candidate.
  • Language proficiency in French or English based on the chosen master.

Candidates must justify a list of 3 potential masters that they wish to enroll or that they have already pre-enrolled.

Note: The final award of the scholarship is subject to admission to a Master's program in France for the academic year 2020-2021.
