The European Youth Portal offers a volunteer opportunity at the Planet4youth kindergarten in Lithuania, where the age of children is 2-6 years. The daily activities in kindergarten are based on non-formal education so you will find children playing most of the time and you should stimulate them to be creative during these free games, teach them how to behave in the group and how to respect and take care for each other.

Funding:

  • The project provides travel costs reimbursement from a volunteer country of residence to Lithuania and back home after the project. The amount of reimbursement depends on the distance between the sending and hosting countries.
  • The volunteer will live in a shared apartment together with other volunteers or students. All the utilities are going to be paid by the organization. 
  • Volunteers are going to be provided with a monthly amount of food and pocket money and a local transportation monthly ticket.

Eligibility:

  • The applicant should be between 18 and 30 years old.
  • To be able to stay in Lithuania during all the time of a project.
  • The applicant must not be a participant in long term EVS or ESC volunteering project.
  • To be motivated and able to explain his motivation.
  • Knowledge of the basics of English is preferred.

Duration:

The program runs for 46 weeks between 1 September 2020 to 31 July 2021.

The European Youth Portal is a multi-lingual website addressing young people in Europe and providing access to youth-related European and national information. The aim of the European Youth Portal is to provide young people aged 13 to 30 across Europe with information and opportunities around a wide range of topics based on the EU Youth Strategy, including education, employment, participation, culture, social inclusion, health, mobility, and volunteering. One of its major strengths is that this content is provided at European and national levels through a partnership between the European Commission and Eurodesk, and is available in up to 27 different languages, covering 33 countries.
