The University of Groningen is offering scholarships for non-EU/EEA students who want to study a Bachelor's Degree in Global Responsibility and Leadership (GRL) or Master’s Degree in Sustainable Entrepreneurship (SE) and show that they are committed to contributing to the university's vision and mission.

Eligibility and Requirements:

  • Eligible candidates are Non-EU/EEA residents who have applied to the BSc Global Responsibility & Leadership or the MSc Sustainable Entrepreneurship at Groningen University.
  • Secondary School Diploma: Students are required to have successfully obtained a secondary school diploma which allows entry to an academic university. Therefore, students need to obtain a Dutch VWO diploma or international equivalent before gaining entry to the program.
  • English requirements
    • Students are required to demonstrate their English skills by sitting an approved English test. You are exempted from proving your proficiency in English if you:
    • Are a native speaker and have completed your entire secondary education in one of the following countries: USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia or Canada (English secondary education).
    • Have already completed an entire Bachelor's degree program in one of the following countries: USA, UK, Ireland, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or Canada (English secondary education).
    • Scored a minimum final grade of 7 for the English course for the Dutch VWO diploma.
    • Scored a minimum final grade of 10 for the English course at Leistungskurs (LK) / erhörtere Anforderingsniveau (eA).
    • Obtained an International Baccalaureate diploma, with English as a final exam subject from a European School or one of the Accredited European Schools.
    • Apply with at least 3 GCE A2-level certificates from an accredited British examination board.
  • Mathematics Requirements
    • Due to the content of some courses, UCF has a mathematics requirement. Students are required to have achieved a passing grade in VWO Wiskunde A, B or C or an international equivalent.
    • Accepted Mathematics certificates:-
      • Dutch VWO Mathematics (Wiskunde) A, B, or C certificate with a passing grade (obtained at either CCVX or Boswell-Bèta)
      • College Board AP Examination (AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB or BC: grades 3-5
      • GCE (A) or GCE (AS) level certificate in Mathematics with a passing grade
      • International Baccalaureate (IB), Mathematics SL, HL or Mathematical Studies certificate with a passing grade

Scholarship Value:

The CF scholarship is a one year scholarship towards supporting living expenses during the first year of their studies (EUR 4 000).

Selection Criteria:

Students will be selected on the basis of academic performance, motivation letter, financial needs, and relevance of CF's programs for their future career.
