Benefits

Selected candidates will be provided with the following benefits:

  • €10,000€ for doctorates &
  • €15,000 for post-doctorates
  • Transportation and accommodation costs, for beneficiaries living in the provinces, will be supported by the L’Oréal Foundation for the training in “Management and Leadership” and the award ceremony to be held in an African capital.

Eligibilities

The applicants are required to meet the following eligibility requirements

  • For doctorates
    • Have the nationality of one of the 49 countries in the sub-Saharan African region
    • Be enrolled in a doctoral school and carry out their doctorate in a research laboratory in one of the 49 countries in the region (including South Africa)
    • Conducting research in one of the eligible scientific fields
  • For post-doctorates
    • Have the nationality of one of the 49 countries in the sub-Saharan African region
    • Be enrolled in post-doctorate in a research laboratory or an institution in one of the 49 countries in the region (including South Africa)
    • Have a doctorate in one of the eligible scientific fields
  • Conducting research in one of the eligible scientific fields
  • Have started the post-doctorate before 02/03/2020, the opening of the call for application
