International rescue committee is offering a Job opportunity as a Adolescent Girls Programme Manager in Beirut. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the implementation of interventions focusing on preventing and responding to early marriage in Lebanon. Oversee the ongoing implementation of the adolescent girl mentors initiative. Assess gaps and needs within the teams and do all related works.

Major Responsibilities: 

  1. Oversee the implementation of adolescent girl focused activities in all locations and provide feedback to the managers.  
  2. Provide training and mentoring to develop a strong understanding for adolescent girls programming;
  3. Actively support the implementation of interventions focusing on preventing and responding to early marriage in Lebanon.
  4. Oversee the ongoing implementation of the adolescent girl mentors initiative.
  5. Assess gaps and needs within the teams.
  6. Ongoing technical support to build their capacity in adolescent girl programming,
  7. Strengthen prevention and response strategies to address key concerns and key GBV risks faced by adolescent girls including early marriage, harassment and isolation.
  8. Observe and analyze key trends regarding adolescent girls and GBV and ensure that these issues are highlighted to the program team to ensure they are reflected in program implementation. 
  9. Support the adaptation of the resources for married and engaged girls and facilitate the roll out of the strategy across Lebanon
  10. Represent IRC in relevant meetings, coordination platforms and events with a focus on AG related topics
  11. Actively coordinate with other national actors that are concerned with the service provision for targeted population
  12. Support in the representation of IRC programming during field visits of external visitors
  13. Manage communication products related to AG programming

Qualifications:

  1. University degree in Social Work, Psychology, Gender, Public Health, Human Rights or other related field
  2.  Minimum two years of professional experience in GBV prevention and response programs in emergencies
  3. Sound experience in working with adolescent girls in empowerment, life-skills or risk mitigation programs.
  4. Thorough understanding of best practices in GBV response and GBV primary prevention and risk reduction
  5. Advanced experience in conducting trainings and providing mentoring and coaching in formal and non-formal settings
  6. Previous experience of program management and knowledge of project cycle management
  7. Clear understanding of gender, human rights, and issues surrounding violence against girls
  8. Proven competence on revising/drafting relevant materials (e.g. PSS curricula, training materials, presentations).
  9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  10. Experience in supervising qualitative assessments/consultations
  11. Solid analytical and writing skills
  12. Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, prioritize work under pressure
  13. Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well
  14. Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  15. Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English required
