The University of Nottingham in the UK is offering undergraduate scholarships for high-achieving international students from Africa who have received an offer of study in September 2020, in any subject area.

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for this award, you must:

  • be a national of or permanently domiciled in any African country.
  • be classed as an 'overseas' student for tuition fee purposes.
  • hold an offer to begin a full-time undergraduate degree program at the University of Nottingham in September 2020, in any subject area.

Scholarships Value:

Nottingham University is offering:

  • Six scholarships of £2,000
  • Two scholarships of £6,500

Other Conditions:

  • This award cannot be combined with another University of Nottingham regional scholarship or an International Sporting Excellence Award. However, you may also be able to receive a subject scholarship from your academic school, or an external scholarship from your country, where the combined total does not exceed 100% of tuition fees.
  • Accept the scholarship by the given deadline – the University reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a scholarship if it is not accepted by the given deadline.
  • Scholarships cannot be deferred to the following academic year.
  • Where changes are made without prior approval, the scholarship will be withdrawn and you may be required to repay the scholarship in full. Scholarships are not automatically extendable.
  • Pay all outstanding tuition fees by University deadlines if you have not been awarded a full scholarship, Non-payment of fees may result in the scholarship being withdrawn and full fees being charged to you. 
  • Make satisfactory progress in your program of study. The scholarship is subject to satisfactory progress. 
  • Agree to act in an ambassadorial capacity, to produce student profiles, and to attend scholarship/recruitment events as required for the University of Nottingham. 
  • Agree to the University of Nottingham contacting you approximately two years after your graduation for an update on how the scholarship has influenced your career.
