Amazon is looking for future interns in the field of system development engineering to join its internships for summer 2020. Systems development engineers work with technical leaders to refine technical direction, and then follow through with detailed review, designs, and truly innovative code. They are builders who are experienced in at least one scripting language, are familiar with networking concepts, and familiar with working in a Linux environment. Amazon interns have the opportunity to work alongside the industry’s brightest engineers who innovate everyday on behalf of their customers. The interns partner with a select group of experienced systems development engineers, who both help and challenge them as they work on projects that matter to the customers.

Eligibility:

You must:

Currently enrolled in bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Networking, ITP, Information Systems, or a related field.
Have experience in one of the following languages: Ruby, Java, Python, or C, C#, C++.
Have experience with Linux.
Have fundamental knowledge of networking.
Have certifications in Linux, networking, or related technologies.
Have experience with embedded programming.
Have documentation and problem solving skills with attention to detail.

Your Responsibilities:

As an intern, you will be matched to a manager and a mentor. You will be given the opportunity to have direct impact on the evolution of Amazon's technologies as well as lead mission critical projects early in your career.
In addition to an impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with Amazonians in both personal and professional development, expand your network, and take part in fun activities throughout the summer.
Amazon internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks with start dates between May and September 2020.
