ARDD requires a project manager in JordanThe project manager will provide oversight on the project and be responsible for coordinating the overall project planning, implementation, monitoring of progress, and facilitation of requirements to secure project progress and will coordinate and build relationships with key stakeholders, including relevant local partners, government, private sector and the field staff. In addition, the project manager will be responsible for monthly, quarterly and final project reports, employ resourcefulness in project design, and trouble shoots project problems and identifies creative solutions. The project manager must make every effort to ensure that the project’s objectives/outputs are achieved with a high standard of quality according to the log frame and budget, within the contracted project period and in compliance with national laws, donor regulations and ARDD policies and procedures.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  1. Bachelor's degree and it's preferred to have post graduate degree. 
  2. From six-to-eight years of work experience as minimum. 
  3. Demonstrated success in managing projects to achieve specified goals and outcomes. 
  4. In-depth knowledge of grant making, business development, and procurement. 
  5. Relevant experience in the nonprofit and private sector. 
  6. Relevant experience in income generating, business incubators, labor market and labor conditions and policies. 
  7. Solid understanding of nonprofit and private sector, organizational structures, and challenges. 
  8. Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and think critically across a range of issues and topic areas.
  9. Excellent writing, communications and project management skills with a proven track record of writing and presenting to a wide range of audiences. 
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment. 
  11. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize. 
  12. Problem-solving skills with a commitment to continual learning. 
  13. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively across various lines of business and proactively cultivate relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners. 
  14. Proven record of successfully working collaboratively and on teams. 
  15. Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills, including strong financial analysis skills. 
  16. Effective negotiation skills proven through successful interaction with stakeholders, including government, private sector, and NGOs/communities. 
  17. Demonstrated ability in team management and collaboration. 
  18. Fluency in English

Your Responsibilities:

You will serve as a team leader of the project team with the following responsibilities: 

  • Provide direction and leadership in advocating project objectives and ensuring that all interested stakeholder and partners are well informed about the project activities and goals. 
  • Develop selection criteria and vulnerability assessment in order to identify potential candidates from among refugees and vulnerable Jordanians to apply for positions at the three enterprises (Crafts, wood work and food production). 
  • Supervise the financing for beneficiaries to participate in a program of their choice at the 3 enterprises related to crafts, wood work and food production. 
  • Coordinate research development and provide feedback and recommendation whenever needed to ensure that the research comply with the project objective and donor requests. 
  • Supervise the establishment and refurbishment of the business incubator/community spaces in Amman and Mafraq. 
  • Supervise and coordinate the development of the vocational training materials and supervise organizing the vocational skills training, on the job mentoring and guidance on industry standards and business registration. 
  • Participate in marketing outlets in Jordan for direct marketing of micro-enterprises products and support of an online/virtual marketing and sales platform.
  • Organize round tables with government and the private sector on the challenges faced by vulnerable communities in accessing livelihoods.
  • Represent the project, as required, vis-a-vis other stakeholders and endeavour to build professional relationships with them and the private sector partners in order to ensure the full participation of them in the identification, planning and execution of project activities. 
  • Ensure that all contractual obligations with the private sector partners are adhered to and make the necessary contacts and efforts to ensure implementation of required targets.
