Volunteer Opportunity within the Campaigns for World Humanitarian Day from the UN

OPPORTUNITY.DETAILS OPPORTUNITY.DESCRIPTION

The UNV will have autonomy and responsibility to deliver critical tasks to see the successful execution and delivery of the campaign to the global public, UN partners and the United Nations agencies.

Tasks:-

  • Duties will include but are not limited to:

    • Supporting global campaigns. 

    • Attending creative meetings. 

    • Draft internal and external communications documents. 

    • Research and manage celebrities. 

    • Influencer and media contacts lists and assists in outreach efforts. 

    • Collates campaign coverage books. 

    • Presentations and reporting. 

    • Research social media analytics. 

  • You will also organize the clearance, production and distribution of information material and conduct photo and graphic research. 

  • You will maintain a calendar of key media events and opportunities, arrange support to OCHA media outreach and major events in coordination with other OCHA and UN bodies.

Requirements:-

  • The ideal candidate is the one who:

    • Speaks and writes clearly and effectively. 

    • Listens to others.

    • Correctly interprets messages from others and responds appropriately. 

    • Asks questions to clarify and exhibits interest in having two-way communication. 

    • Tailors language, tone, style and format to match the audience. 

    • Demonstrates openness in sharing information and keeping people informed, works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.

  • You should be good at English, French or Spanish.
