Taiwan Foundation for Democracy is offering a fellowship for International Visiting Fellows. The TFD aims to have International Visiting Fellows establish contact and network with Taiwan’s related non-governmental organizations, to encourage the development of cooperative international projects, and to support research and writing of those working in the field of democracy assistance. Every year, a select number of Fellows may stay in Taiwan to complete an independent research project for up to one year. the Fellowship is designed to provide scholars or experts with the opportunity to study Taiwan’s democracy and human rights.
With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all major political parties, the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy (TFD) was established in 2003. Its basic purposes are to further consolidate Taiwan’s progress in democracy and human rights, as well as to demonstrate appreciation for all the assistance Taiwan received from the international community during their democratization.
