The World Literacy Foundation (WLF) Ambassador Program is inviting all passionate young people all over the world to participate in a training to develop their leadership and advocacy skills. The program aims to bring together individuals from all over the world to be a local voice and fundraise for literacy in their schools, universities, communities or social groups.

About the Program:-

Throughout the 4-month program, Ambassadors will be trained to develop their leadership and advocacy skills. Participants will also learn about literacy as a human right and support our literacy project in Colombia. The training is held online for a 4-5 month duration with a Certificate of completion upon closure of the program.

In this training program, you will:

  • Develop your leadership and advocacy skills.

    • You will need to get others involved in their cause and plan events to draw attention, awareness and understanding to the issue.

  • Be a local voice for literacy and education in your community.

    • You will speak at their school, university, media or community group as a representative of literacy and the WLF.

  • Support the education of vulnerable children

    • This year, all funds raised by WLF ambassadors will go towards WLF literacy program in Colombia; Aprende Leyendo Organization.

  • April 13 Registrations Open.
  • June 14 Registration Close Program start.
  • June 22 Letter of acceptance.
  • June 29 Level 1: Introduction to WLF and Aprende Leyendo.
  • July 13 Level 2: Education and Literacy in the world.
  • July 27 Level 3: Leadership Skills.
  • August 10 Level 4: Advocacy.
  • August 24 Level 5: Fundraising Strategies.
  • September 8 World Literacy Day.
  • September 9–October 17 Fundraising and advocacy activities.
  • October 23 Final report submission.
  • October 30 Program closure.

The World Literacy Foundation (WLF) is a global not-for-profit that works to lift young people out of poverty through literacy. The Foundation believes that all individuals, particularly those in the poorest countries of the world, should have the same education opportunities we take for granted in the developed world. The foundation uses literacy projects to make a positive impact for the health and well being of children trapped in poverty. With offices and networks in the United Kingdom, United States and Australia, WLF is seeking to have a global impact and boost the quality of literacy programs in the poorest countries in the world.
