The Global Thinkers Forum (GTF) is offering a competition entitled "A World in Crisis - CoVid-19 Stories Competition". The past four months have been an unprecedented period in the history of Humanity. Our lives have been affected directly or indirectly by a threat that stormed into our daily routine and turned the world on its head. We have witnessed moments of frustration, pain, loss, but also hope, heroism, altruism, solidarity, human bonding, creativity, and inspiration. This competition aims to convey these positive moments through touching stories and inspiring photos captured during this crisis.

Competition Terms:

For stories:

  • The story should revolve around how CoVid-19 has impacted your country, your life, your community, your way of thinking, or someone you know.
  • Your story can be between 600-1200 words.
  • It has to be uploaded in Word format.
  • Make sure that you explain what impressed you the most and how it made you feel. In this section please give a brief description of the idea or situation you are focusing on and why.

For photos:

  • The photo must be in high resolution.
  • It was taken during the CoVid19 crisis and you feel that it conveys a powerful message.
  • You have to upload a Word document describing what we see in the photo and what is the message it conveys.

Awards:

The Global Thinkers Forum Board will select the top three most engaging stories and photos and award three grants of £300 per winning story plus three grants of £150 per winning photo.

About Global Thinkers Forum (GTF):

Global Thinkers Forum (GTF) was founded in 2012 by Elizabeth Filippouli. It is a non-profit, London-based organization that brings together a diverse network of visionary thought leaders to effect positive change in the world. The 1st GTF and inaugural GTF Awards for Excellence took place in Amman, Jordan discussing the role of the modern Arab woman, in the MENA region and globally. GTF convened some 350 international executives under the patronage of Queen Rania of Jordan and with the support of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development. GTF was incubated at Oxford Said Business School as an initiative to create new thinking and effect positive change for the world. Global Thinkers Forum also creates smaller events such as workshops and roundtable discussions, promoting women’s and youth empowerment.
