Nestle is offering a job opportunity as a Business Analyst in Canada for 2020. This position is responsible for driving positive business performance through meaningful insight. This is a highly data driven and analytical role that utilizes the strong communication and investigative skills to recommend positive changes in the way the company approaches its business. The successful candidate will make fact-based recommendations to help the account team deliver success against KPIs and optimize the business.  

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for promotional analysis/evaluations within the Sobeys team to drive NPP Canada KPIs to optimize investment.
  2. Provides input to support: Account Plan / Business Plans, Volume Submissions, Trade Spend Management.
  3. Customer engagement to support numerical findings and promotional Best Practices.  Acts as back-up support to Key Account Managers to the customer.
  4. Manage and develop customer administration: Contracts, New Product Forms, Pricing Adjustments, Customer Listing Base / Distribution.  Additional support as required on an ad-hoc basis within the Customer Business Team.
  5. Communication liaison between cross functional groups internally focusing on:
  • Customer Insights – Nielsen, IRI.
  • Trade Development – new item launches, seasonal opportunities, other account opportunities.
  • Sales Finance – Promotional analysis, financial tools & trade spend reporting.
  • Supply chain – reporting on customer service levels & impact to business.
  • A/R – debit management.

Qualifications:

  1. Completion of a university degree.
  2. 1-2 years of progressive experience within a sales function.
  3. 2-3 years of progressive data analysis experience.
  4. Strong communication skills and expertise presenting to both small and large groups.
  5. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
  6. Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Demonstrated ability to manage well under deadlines and multi-task effectively.
  8. A results and detail-oriented professional, with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  9. Financial acumen and an understanding of P&L drivers.
  10. An excellent understanding of technology (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access) and a good understanding of network applications related to Sales Information. SAP experience is an asset.
  11. Experience in the extraction and analysis with ACNielsen applications, specifically with Nielsen Answers, Springboard
  12. Knowledge/experience with IRI/Sobeys Portal an asset.
