The Swiss Government through the Federal Commission for Scholarships is offering you the chance to study at one of the ten of the finest universities in Switzerland.

Please note that no Bachelor or Master Degrees are eligible for this scholarship; only PhD or Post-Doc positions.

If you were accepted for the Swiss Excellence Scholarship you will get the following:

  • A monthly payment that amounts to 1’920 Swiss Francs.
  • Exemption of the tuition fees (except for EPFL).
  • Health insurance
  • Air fare to/from your home country

If you have a Master’s degree and welling to spend three years as a full time PhD student in Switzerland, then do not hesitate to apply for this amazing scholarship.

Other conditions

• You should have a Master degree (or equivalent university degree)

• you are highly qualified: have excellent grades and achievements

 

How to apply

Prepare Now Documents for application for the next deadline.

[2] Copies of university certificates and transcripts
(attested and translated)

[3] Two letters of recommendation from professors in your field of study (you must use the official reference form provided with the application package)

[4] Photo (to staple on application form)

[5] Complete research proposal (max. 5 pages)

[6] Motivation letter (max. 2 pages).

[7] Curriculum vitae (include list of academic publications if any)

[8] A copy of the confirmation letter from a professor at the intended Swiss University that he/she is willing to supervise your PhD studies.

So reach out right away to the professor you are interested in working with.

[10] A copy of your passport

Submit all the required documents to CFBE
